“In Him Was Life” – Acts 2:22-36 – EASTER
Throughout history many have tried to win against death, going on quests for the fountain of youth or alchemy’s elixir of life, diving into cosmetic surgery, or seeking after modern medicine. In the end though death claimed all of them. All of them but one that is, Jesus Christ. Death could not hold him in the grave. Peter says in Acts 2, “It was impossible for death to hold him down.” Jesus broke the icy grip of death and by so doing he paved the way for us to break its bonds as well.
