“Giving Them Back” – Genesis 22

We often think that our children belong to us, but they don’t!  They belong to God!  He has entrusted them to us!  So . . . the question for us is, “Have we given them back to God?”  They are in much better hands with him than with us.  God created our kids.  God loves our kids.  God has a plan and purpose for their life.  Will we help God as he tries to shape them, or will we stand in the way.  Join us as we look at Abraham’s test.  Would he give Isaac back to God or hold on to him himself?  Will we give our kids back to God?  Sermon originally preached on December 11, 2011.

“The Great Promise Keeper” – Romans 4:19-21

Have you ever met a pathological liar?  After you discover that truth, do you trust what they tell you or do you doubt?  I would guess that you doubt what they have to say.  Someone’s past track record matters!  What is God’s track record.  God has a track record of fulfilled prophecies and promises.  So . . . we can trust him when he says he will be with us.  Join us as we talk about how doubt can be a roadblock to our faith and how we can get around it with God’s help.   Sermon originally preached on October 2, 2011.

“Gotta Have Faith” – Hebrews 11:1-16

“Seeing is Believing!” Isn’t that what we say? But . . . is that always true? Or . . . do our senses sometimes fail us? As Christians we are people of faith, but what does that mean? What is faith? When the Bible talks about faith, is it always talking about the same thing? What does faith do? Whom should we have faith in? Join us as we explore the subject of faith and start on a journey of taking a close look at roadblocks to our faith and trying to remove them from our lives. Sermon originally preached on August 28, 2011.
