When we meet people, we often quickly note what distinguishes us from them. They are cool; I am not. They are rich; I am poor. They are male; I am female. They are black; I am white. If we are not careful, we can allow these distinctions to become barriers. And that leads us to treat them differently. We find a fantastic message in the small but mighty book of Philemon. The gospel when sown and watered produces oneness. In Christ, we are all brothers and sisters. This great truth should not separate us, it should cause us to come together no matter the distinctions that the world forces on us. Join us as we study Paul’s words to Philemon and find the seeds of the gospel that he plants. Sermon originally preached on April 1, 2012.
